Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Joker Fun Lines (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Joker Fun Lines mobile application (the “App”) and the companion website at jokes0024.com (collectively, the “Services”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The App and its content — including the joke corpus, illustrations, mascot artwork, user interface elements, and all associated intellectual property — are and remain the exclusive property of Joker Fun Lines and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of the App without our prior written consent.
User Conduct
When using the Services, you agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, server, or network connected to the Services.
- Not use the Services to transmit harmful, abusive, or unlawful content.
- Not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
User-Generated Content
The App allows you to save favorite jokes and maintain a local share history. This content is stored exclusively on your device in a local SQLite database and is never uploaded to our servers. You retain full ownership of your locally stored preferences. We have no access to, and bear no responsibility for, any locally stored user data.
Joke Content and Disclaimers
The joke corpus in Joker Fun Lines is curated for general audiences and is intended to be family-friendly. Humor is inherently subjective; individual reactions to jokes may vary. We do not guarantee that all users will find all content appropriate or amusing, and we disclaim any responsibility for offense taken from the joke content in circumstances where it has been presented in good faith as general-audience material.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Joker Fun Lines SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT, IF ANY, YOU PAID TO OBTAIN THE APP.
Termination
These Terms remain in effect as long as you use the Services. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App immediately ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will continue to apply.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Joker Fun Lines operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
